Personally, I love giving out compliments and showing my appreciation. There is something so liberating about it. It not only makes the other party feel good, it makes me feel good as well. But having learned through experience that people have issues with appreciation, I generally prefer to keep my appreciation inside me for a bit longer first. It’s not that I don’t want to give it, I do, but I want to be SURE that this person deserves such appreciation first. I am an Attractive Man, therefore it is logical that I have high standards. If I was a truly Attractive Man, I would be accustomed to simple efforts made for me and therefore, I only show my appreciation for outstanding efforts made to do something/prove a point. Some people are not going to make it up to my mark, that is the honest truth.
In terms of conversation, observe the following 2 scenarios :
Scenario 1
Carla : “I like food.â€
Xavier: “Omg, I like food too! I love you!â€
Carla : “Erm…â€
DESPERATE-INTEREST!!!
Scenario 2
Wendy : “I like food.â€
Xavier : “Everyone likes food…†(most of the people I meet like food, show me how you stand out!)
Wendy : “Not like me! Once, I queued up for 1 whole hour for my Teriyaki Beef rice because I wanted it so bad!†(
Xavier : “That’s crazy haha! Cool, a girl who stops at nothing to get what she wants… :-) “
That’s more like it ;-)
Also, picture these 2 scenarios :
1) You pick up $50 from the floor.
2) You work 10 hours for $50.
